esther-seguin-headshot-greyAn award-winning marketer who prefers to talk about the things she markets rather than marketing, Esther enjoys learning and making connections between market needs and business solutions. She helps companies break new ground by utilizing research and analyses to build new market offerings and position them for rapid sale. In collaboration with the C-suite, product management, and sales, she has built a strong market presence for Fortune 500 companies among analysts, the media, partners, and target buyer segments.

Creating Go-to-Market Platforms

She has helped senior leaders express credible thought leadership; developed and presented research findings; published whitepapers, blog posts, and articles; produced Webcasts; and employed social media. Esther’s marketing work was featured in a Lycos Press book on how to use the Internet to grow your business. Also, The Deloitte Directors Series is an ongoing program she helped establish while at Deloitte to enable partners to nurture relationships with the top-most corporate buyers and decision makers.

Orchestrating Operational Harmony

Esther’s experience working across marketing disciplines and continents, running an independent consulting business for six years, and managing large-scale, cross-functional projects, have honed her skills in putting the people and processes in place to maximize resources. As a senior leadership team member, she’s spearheaded marketing efforts of large companies during times of expansion and change. As new technology evolved to better understand marketing ROI, she has focused on sales and marketing alignment, as well as leveraging the appropriate automation tools to increase lead conversion and shorten the sales cycle. Successfully managing staff and influencing teams outside of reporting relationships, Esther enjoys inspiring people to exploit their talents while establishing the infrastructure to ensure success.

Sharing the Knowledge of Risk

A witness to environmental and economic devastation in recent years, Esther became fascinated by the opportunities presented by risk management. A committed learner, she earned an Associate in Risk Management from the Insurance Institute of America (she also holds an MBA from Simmons School of Management and completed a Strategic Marketing Executive Education Program at the University of Chicago). Her insights allow her to concisely articulate the security and risk issues that concern CEOs, CFOs, and Board members who make $1 million+ purchase decisions for goods and services. As an independent consultant, Esther was contracted by Zurich, Iron Mountain, and Lernout & Hauspie to conduct market assessments, marketing reviews, and/or marketing programs to support the growth of their services and solutions that address business risk.

Singing for Joy

In her personal life, Esther enjoys contributing to Boston-area choral groups, including the MIT Women’s Chorale and the New England Conservatory Gospel Choir. She also finds her roles as a mother, gardener, and friend to the aging to be uplifting.
